2016: The Halloween Event<\/b><\/h2>\n

Remember 2016? Of course, you do! It was the year Pok\u00e9mon GO took the world by storm. People were everywhere, parks were filled, and there was an electric buzz in the air. Every day was an adventure, but one day stands out: October 31st. Why? Because this was the first-ever in-game event: Halloween!<\/span><\/p>\n

During this event, from October 26th to November 1st, Pok\u00e9mon GO introduced special spawns and candy bonuses. Gengar, Haunter, and Hypno appeared in the wild much more frequently, and double candy bonuses were awarded for every Pok\u00e9mon caught, hatched, or transferred. This was groundbreaking at the time (especially for candy collectors).<\/span><\/p>\n

The atmosphere was electric, and for many players, it felt like a mini Pok\u00e9mon GO Fest. Imagine the excitement of sprinting around a city or beach, tracking every wild Haunter and Gengar, and seeing hundreds of other players doing the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

2017: Generation 2 Release<\/b><\/h2>\n

Fast forward to February 16th, 2017. This day was a game-changer as Pok\u00e9mon GO opened the Generation 2 floodgates, releasing 84 new Pok\u00e9mon. This event was packed with themed habitat spawns, featuring new Alolan Pok\u00e9mon, new shinies, and one of the rarest Unowns ever: the question mark Unown.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gameplay was outstanding, but what made this event truly memorable was the community. Tens of thousands of players, including all the friends and fellow content creators, gathered to celebrate their shared love for the game. Special research tasks rewarded players with incredible Pok\u00e9mon encounters, like Metagross, and the event concluded with a mythical Pok\u00e9mon encounter with Celebi. The joy of seeing so many dedicated trainers in one place, all sharing the same passion, was unparalleled.<\/span><\/p>\n

2019: Ultra Bonus Week 2<\/b><\/h2>\n

September 9th, 2019, was another highlight. This day marked the start of Ultra Bonus Week 2. Team GO Rocket was still fresh, and all the Generation 1 regional Pok\u00e9mon were available in 7 km eggs globally. Shiny versions of these Pok\u00e9mon were also introduced, making this event even more exciting. The thrill of hatching a shiny Farfetch’d, for example, added a whole new level of excitement to the game. Additionally, Deoxys in all its forms was available in raids, providing an extra challenge for trainers.<\/span><\/p>\n

This event not only brought new Pok\u00e9mon to the game but also revitalized the excitement of hatching eggs and participating in raids.<\/span><\/p>\n

2020: Global GO Fest<\/b><\/h2>\n

The pandemic might have locked everyone down, but it couldn’t stop the fun. July 25th and 26th, 2020, saw the first-ever global GO Fest. With co-op bonuses, higher spawn rates, and insane shiny odds, this event was a blast. Day one featured rotating habitats, while day two focused on Team Rocket, culminating in epic encounters with Shadow Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The global nature of this event allowed trainers from all over the world to participate and enjoy the festivities from the safety of their homes. It truly showcased the adaptability of Pok\u00e9mon GO and its ability to bring joy even during challenging times.<\/span><\/p>\n

2021: Kanto Tour<\/b><\/h2>\n

February 20th, 2021, brought the Kanto Tour, a global event celebrating Generation 1. For just $12, players could choose between red or green versions, influencing spawns and shiny rates.
