Community Days in Pokémon Go are eagerly anticipated monthly events that spotlight a specific Pokémon, offering increased spawn rates and a chance to catch its shiny variant. The upcoming Community Day features the Fruit Pokémon, Bounsweet.
The Spotlight on Bounsweet
The next Community Day is set for Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Bounsweet will appear more frequently in the wild. Trainers might even encounter a Shiny Bounsweet, a unique variant to add to their collections.
Evolving Steenee into Tsareena
A key feature of this event is evolving Steenee, Bounsweet’s evolution, into Tsareena. Evolving Steenee during the event or up to five hours afterward will yield a Tsareena that knows the exclusive Charged Attack High Jump Kick. This move, with 110 power in Trainer Battles, has the potential to greatly decrease the user’s Defense, offering a strategic advantage in battles.
Event Bonuses
The Community Day also comes with several bonuses for trainers. These include:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
These bonuses help trainers maximize their gains during the event.
Post-Event Raid Battles
After the three-hour Community Day event concludes, trainers can participate in special four-star Raid Battles. Successfully defeating the raid boss in one of these raids will trigger additional Bounsweet to appear around the Gym where the raid took place for the next 30 minutes. This offers trainers another opportunity to catch Bounsweet, extending the excitement of Community Day beyond the initial event hours.
Incense Day: A Fragrant Attraction
The next Incense Day, featuring Ferroseed, will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Ferroseed will be attracted to Incense, and trainers will have an increased chance of encountering a Shiny Ferroseed.
Grass-type Pokémon Hours
Grass-type Pokémon will be featured during specific hours: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time. Pokémon attracted to Incense during these hours include Hisuian Voltorb, Tangela, Hoppip, Petilil, Phantump, and Morelull. This is an excellent chance to catch rare Grass-type Pokémon.
Steel-type Pokémon Hours
Steel-type Pokémon will be attracted to Incense from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Pokémon attracted during these hours include Galarian Meowth, Magnemite, Aron, Beldum, Shieldon, and Togedemaru. Trainers can catch powerful Steel-type Pokémon during these times.
Incense Day–Themed Field Research
During the event, there will be Incense Day–themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks by catching Grass-type and Steel-type Pokémon will earn rewards such as Stardust, Pinap Berries, Ultra Balls, and Great Balls. These tasks provide additional challenges and valuable rewards.
The upcoming Incense Day promises to be an exciting event for Pokémon Go trainers. With the spotlight on Ferroseed and the specific Grass-type and Steel-type hours, trainers will have ample opportunities to catch a variety of Pokémon and earn valuable rewards. Mark your calendars for May 26, prepare your Incense, and get ready for a day full of Pokémon-catching excitement
